Ömnögovi

Ömnögovi is a province in southern Mongolia covering a vast Gobi Desert region with sand dunes, rocky mountains, and mineral-rich areas throughout. The landscape consists mainly of open terrain dotted with nomadic settlements and a few towns.

The Flaming Cliffs, also known as Bayanzag, are a globally recognized site for dinosaur fossils that draws scientists from many countries. This location witnessed some of the most important paleontological discoveries of the 20th century.
