Manora Island, Peninsula with lighthouse in Karachi, Pakistan
The peninsula forms a natural protective barrier between Karachi Harbor to the north and the Arabian Sea to the south, connected by a sandbridge.
The Manora Fort, built in 1790s, protected the entrance to Karachi from pirate raids until British forces captured it in February 1839.

The Manora Point Lighthouse, constructed in 1889 by Canadian engineer Alain-Chartier-de-Lotbinière, guides vessels approaching the Karachi port.
