Urdok Kangri

Urdok Kangri rises to 7,250 meters within the Karakoram range, featuring three distinct peaks and forming a natural border between China and Pakistan.

The first expedition to reach Urdok Kangri's summit occurred on August 4, 1975, when an Austrian team of five climbers completed their ascent.

The mountain connects communities from both Chinese Xinjiang and Pakistani Gilgit-Baltistan regions, who maintain traditional mountaineering support systems for expeditions.

Climbers require specialized high-altitude equipment, careful acclimatization planning, and extensive supplies due to the remote location at coordinates 35°42′16″N, 76°43′46″E.

Two of Urdok Kangri's three summits remain unclimbed, with Urdok II at 7,137 meters and Urdok III at 6,950 meters presenting unexplored challenges.
