Dorogomilovo Railway Bridge

The Dorogomilovo Railway Bridge is a steel structure that spans the Moskva River and carries trains through the Moscow region. The bridge links different sections of the rail network and handles both passenger and freight trains on a daily basis.

The bridge was completed in 1907 when Moscow's railway network was rapidly expanding. It became an important link connecting various rail lines during this period of growth.

The Department of Cultural Heritage of Moscow designated the Dorogomilovo Railway Bridge as a protected monument in January 2016, preserving its architectural legacy.

The bridge is accessible year-round, though train traffic may be affected during extreme weather conditions. Visitors wishing to cross the river should use alternative routes, as this is not a pedestrian crossing.

The bridge survived multiple natural disasters, including flooding in the early 1900s, demonstrating the strength of its original construction. This resilience allowed the structure to reliably carry trains for more than a century.
