Niaosong District

Niaosong District is an administrative unit in Kaohsiung City comprising seven neighborhoods including Diaosong, Mengli, Dahua, Dipu, Renmei, Dazhu, and Huamei Village. The area contains Cheng Shiu University and surrounds Chengcing Lake, home to a baseball stadium.

The area was once a rural township until 2010 when Kaohsiung County merged with Kaohsiung City and elevated the township to district status. This administrative reform brought modernization and expanded services to the region.

The Dharma Drum Mountain Zi Yun Temple serves as a spiritual gathering place where residents and visitors come together. The temple grounds host community celebrations and traditional Buddhist practices that reflect local beliefs and values.

The district offers straightforward navigation with educational institutions and local government offices providing information and orientation. Parks and sports facilities are distributed throughout, giving visitors places to spend time in different parts.

The Niaosong Wetland Park shelters diverse bird species and wildlife across multiple habitats within the district. The site attracts nature watchers who come to observe and record the seasonal migrations and feeding patterns.
