Q Square, shopping mall in Taipei
Q Square is a shopping center in the Datong District of Taipei, with bright interiors and wide corridors spread across several floors. The building houses clothing stores, cosmetics shops, accessories, cafes, and small restaurants.
Q Square opened in 2009 and quickly became a go-to shopping destination in Taipei. In April 2021, a fire broke out in the building and around 200 people were evacuated before repairs were carried out.
The name Q Square is a reference to its role as a central meeting point in the district. After work hours, the place fills with locals browsing shops or grabbing a bite, making it a natural part of daily life in this part of Taipei.
The center sits close to Taipei Main Station, making it easy to reach by metro, bus, or on foot from the station. A bus terminal inside the building also allows travel to other parts of Taipei and to nearby cities without going outside.
Taipei Bus Station is physically built into the structure of the shopping center, not simply located nearby. This means a traveler can buy a long-distance bus ticket to another city without ever stepping outside.
