Xihan Temple

Xihan Temple is a Buddhist sanctuary in Taipei featuring multiple halls and courtyards adorned with stone carvings, painted dragons, and red lanterns throughout. Each space serves its own purpose and invites visitors to move through and explore the different sections.

The temple was founded by early Chinese settlers from Fujian who wanted to preserve their spiritual traditions in Taiwan. Its establishment created an important space for the religious community.

People come here daily to burn incense and pray for blessings, combining Buddhist, Taoist, and local folk beliefs in their worship. The temple serves as a spiritual center where different traditions coexist and support each other.

The temple is open from sunrise to sunset and is easily accessible by nearby MRT stations and local buses. Wearing comfortable shoes is helpful since there is plenty to explore throughout the grounds.
