Elephant Mountain, Mountain peak in Xinyi District, Taiwan.

The 183-meter-high mountain features stone steps leading to observation platforms providing views of Taipei 101 and the entire city skyline.

The mountain received its name due to its natural shape resembling an elephant, forming part of the Four Beasts Mountains protecting Taipei city.

Local residents gather at multiple temples near the three trailheads before ascending the mountain paths as part of their exercise routines.

The mountain trail extends 2.8 kilometers with an elevation change of 158 meters, requiring approximately two and a half hours for a complete circuit.

The elevated position grants photographers unobstructed views of fireworks launched from Taipei 101 during New Year celebrations.
