Kelti Group Headquarters, Office building in Xinyi District, Taiwan
Kelti Group Headquarters is an office building on Songren Road in the Xinyi District of Taipei, rising 19 floors. The building houses corporate offices and financial institutions across its upper floors.
The building was completed in 2009, designed by architect Kris Yao during a period when the Xinyi financial district was growing fast. Its construction was part of a broader wave of development that reshaped this part of Taipei in the early 2000s.
A large rhinoceros sculpture greets people at the entrance and turns the building into a recognizable point in the Xinyi streetscape. Pedestrians walking through the area often notice the artwork before they notice the building itself.
The building is easy to reach by metro, as the Xinyi District is served by several nearby stations. Since it is a private office building, entry is limited to tenants and authorized visitors.
The rhinoceros sculpture at the entrance is sometimes called King Kong Rhino and has become a small meeting point for people in the neighborhood. It is rare for a private office tower to feature public art so prominently at street level.
