Bakalska spit

Bakalska spit is a flat coastal strip that extends into the sea with sandy beaches and shallow waters. The area supports various bird species, coastal and water plants, and fragile natural systems.

The spit was placed under protection in 2000 to preserve the region's natural resources. This step recognized that the area needed safeguarding due to its ecological importance.

Visitors should wear sturdy footwear and watch weather conditions since the open coastal landscape offers little shelter. The best time to visit is during warmer months when paths are easier to navigate and bird activity is higher.
