National Nature Park Charming Harbor

National Nature Park Charming Harbor sits on Tarkhankut Peninsula and spreads across limestone cliffs, dry gullies, and natural beaches along the Black Sea. The territory contains several distinct zones where recreation, protection, and other activities take place.

The park was established in 2009 to protect ancient settlements and geological formations on Tarkhankut Peninsula from damage. This decision recognized the scientific and cultural importance of the coastal region.

The Chornomorske region maintains traditional connections to the land through seasonal celebrations and educational programs focused on local nature preservation.

Visitors need to register at the information center before entering the four designated zones. The best time to visit is late spring through early fall when weather is stable and access to trails and beaches is straightforward.

The Atlesh section features rare cliff formations and unusual caves and rock arches that can be reached on foot at low tide. These distinctive formations support plant species specially adapted to the harsh coastal environment.
