Skyrush, Hypercoaster at Hersheypark, Pennsylvania, US.
Skyrush is a steel hypercoaster at Hersheypark in Pennsylvania that reaches a top speed of 75 miles per hour (120 km/h) and features a 200-foot (61-meter) drop. The ride includes five moments of zero gravity and several steep banking turns along the entire track.
The ride opened in 2012 and introduced a wing-seat design that places passengers to the side of the main track. In 2024, new seats and restraints were installed to improve comfort during the ride.
The name refers to rushing through the sky, and visitors can choose seats that hang on the outer edges of the track or sit closer to the center. Each position offers a different view and physical sensation during the ride.
Guests must leave wheelchairs before boarding and store personal items in lockers near the station. A minimum height requirement applies, and wait times vary depending on the time of day and season.
The ride uses a cable lift system that pulls trains to the top faster than traditional chain mechanisms. The main hill tilts at an 85-degree angle, making it one of the steepest in its category.
