Eagle Warehouse & Storage Company, Romanesque warehouse in Brooklyn Heights, United States
The Eagle Warehouse at 28 Old Fulton Street features bold Roman arches, bronze lettering, and a prominent clock on its crenellated parapet facade.
Built in 1894 on the former site of the Brooklyn Eagle newspaper, the structure served as storage for furniture and silverware in fireproof basement vaults.
The building housed Brooklyn Law School from 1904 to 1928 and maintained ballots during the contested 1905 New York City mayoral election recount.
Following a 1980 renovation, the warehouse contains 85 residential co-op units with amenities including a doorman, fitness center, and bicycle storage.
A penthouse residence incorporates the original clock face as a window, offering views of the Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan skyline through 17-foot ceilings.
