Eagle Warehouse & Storage Company, Romanesque warehouse in Brooklyn Heights, United States

Eagle Warehouse is a storage building in the Richardsonian Romanesque style located on Old Fulton Street in Brooklyn Heights, featuring bold Roman arches and a crenellated roofline. The structure displays classic details including bronze lettering and a prominent clock that define its distinctive character.

The building was constructed in 1894 on the former site of the Brooklyn Eagle newspaper and originally served to store furniture and silverware in fireproof underground vaults. The structure later became part of the city's institutional landscape when it housed other important civic functions.

The building housed Brooklyn Law School from 1904 to 1928 and maintained ballots during the contested 1905 New York City mayoral election recount.

The building has been thoroughly renovated and now contains residential units with practical amenities such as a doorman, fitness center, and bicycle storage. Visitors should note that this is a functioning residence, so interior access is limited to exterior views.

A penthouse residence has transformed the original clock face opening into a unique window frame offering views of the Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan skyline. This creative reuse shows how historical architectural elements can be incorporated into contemporary living.
