Nghi Sơn

Nghi Sơn is a district-level town in Thanh Hóa Province with coastal access and several administrative divisions. The area comprises urban wards and rural communes that together form a mixed region with both urban and rural characteristics.

The town emerged in 2020 from an administrative restructuring of the former Tĩnh Gia District. This reorganization created a new administrative unit with expanded responsibilities for local governance.

Fishing communities here maintain traditional Vietnamese coastal practices that are visible in daily work and routines. Walking through the harbor areas, you can still see the old fishing methods passed down through generations.

The administrative center is located in Hải Hòa, where visitors can find basic services and information. The area is easy to explore on foot, with paths leading through both urban and rural sections.

Bai Dong Beach stretches along the coast for several kilometers with white sand and minimal commercial development. The shore offers a rare glimpse of an undeveloped coastline in a region experiencing growing urbanization.
