Pasinler

Pasinler is an administrative division in Erzurum Province, situated along the Aras River in northeastern Turkey. The district comprises several settlements and villages organized under local government administration.

The territory was initially controlled by the Urartu kingdom, which called it Biani, before becoming part of Greater Armenia from the 4th century BC onward. Subsequent empires ruled the region throughout the medieval and Ottoman periods.

The district preserves building styles from different civilizations, with Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman structures visible throughout settlements and older neighborhoods. Walking through these areas, you can see how each culture left its mark on the local architecture.

The district offers basic public services and local facilities through its municipal administration. Spring and autumn are the most comfortable seasons for exploring, when temperatures are moderate and roads are accessible.

The region has natural thermal springs that have been used for bathing and relaxation throughout history. These warm waters remain a distinctive feature that has drawn people to the area for generations.
