Donauturm, Observation tower in Donaustadt, Austria
The Danube Tower rises 252 meters above Vienna, featuring two express elevators that transport visitors to multiple observation platforms and dining areas.
Built in 1964 for the Vienna International Garden Show, the tower required 3,750 cubic meters of concrete and 514 tons of reinforced steel for construction.
The tower represents modern Austrian architecture with its revolving restaurant at 170 meters, offering traditional Viennese cuisine and panoramic views of the capital.
Visitors can access the tower daily from 10:00 to 24:00 through the main entrance at Donauturmplatz 1, with two elevators reaching the top in 35 seconds.
The structure includes Europe's highest indoor slide, descending 15 meters from the 165-meter level to the observation deck at a 29-degree angle.
