Casa de Campo Park

Casa de Campo extends over 1,535 hectares of land, featuring natural forests, an artificial lake, and numerous recreational facilities throughout its grounds.

The park originated in the 16th century as a royal hunting estate under King Philip II and remained exclusive to the royal family until 1931.

The Madrid City Council maintains this protected cultural heritage site, which includes preserved military structures from the Spanish Civil War period.

Visitors can access multiple activities including boating on the lake, cycling on designated trails, or visiting the zoo and amusement park within the grounds.

The park contains over 140 bird species and 21 mammal species, creating a substantial wildlife sanctuary within Madrid's urban environment.
