Randa is a municipality in Valais located in the Matter Valley, positioned between the Weisshorn and Dom mountains. The area consists of several small settlements nestled within the alpine landscape.
The area was shaped by two major natural disasters: a devastating avalanche in 1819 and a rockslide with subsequent flooding in 1991. These events left lasting marks on the region's story.
