Fosun Foundation, Cultural center in Shanghai's Bund district, China
The Fosun Foundation spans 420,000 square meters with twin towers reaching 180 meters, offering views of the Huangpu River from 418 meters of waterfront access point.
The complex, which opened in December 2019, emerged from a decade-long development project that transformed a section of Shanghai's financial district into a modern destination point.
The foundation maintains an art center designed by Foster + Partners and Heatherwick Studio, featuring a three-layer movable curtain system that rotates in sync with music.
The center contains retail spaces across multiple floors, with over 50 original design shops, international brand stores, and restaurants including DA VITTORIO SHANGHAI.
The building incorporates design elements inspired by traditional Chinese theater stages, merging local architectural heritage with contemporary structural innovation.
