BEA Finance Tower, Modern skyscraper in Lujiazui, China

The BEA Finance Tower is a modern high-rise in Shanghai's Lujiazui financial district, built with 42 floors above ground and 3 basement levels. The building's three distinct architectural sections are arranged so that the western wing rises higher than the others, creating a visibly stepped profile.

The tower was originally called Gaobao Finance Tower. At the end of 2008, Bank of East Asia bought ten office floors and acquired naming rights, renaming it BEA Finance Tower. On December 9, 2015, The Paper reported that Singapore-based ARA Asset Management purchased the building for RMB 2.7 billion.

The Bank of East Asia, a Hong Kong-based bank founded in 1918, moved its mainland China headquarters into the tower after buying ten office floors and naming rights in late 2008. The renaming from Gaobao Finance Tower marks the building's shift from a speculative office block to a named corporate base in Lujiazui.

The Bank of East Asia's mainland China headquarters occupies ten floors of the tower, with other companies leasing the lower levels. The site lies in Lujiazui, Pudong, at coordinates 31.23410, 121.50231, near the rest of the financial district. The building is an office tower, not a public observation deck, so visits are limited to the lobby and street-level surroundings.
