BEA Finance Tower

The BEA Finance Tower is a modern high-rise in Shanghai's Lujiazui financial district, built with 42 floors above ground and 3 basement levels. The building's three distinct architectural sections are arranged so that the western wing rises higher than the others, creating a visibly stepped profile.

Construction began in 2006 under the original name Gaobao Finance Tower and was completed in 2009. The project was part of Pudong's rapid expansion as a major financial hub during the 2000s.

The building represents Shanghai's rapid economic transformation through its integration of international banking services and local architectural elements.

The building houses office spaces used by the Bank of East Asia and various companies across different levels. Its location in the Lujiazui district places it within walking distance of other parts of the financial center with good access to public transportation.

The tower was originally named Gaobao Finance Tower before taking its current name. This change reflects shifting ownership and the increasing importance of the banking institution that now occupies it.
