White Pyramid, Smooth-sided pyramid in Egypt
The White Pyramid is located in the Dahshur necropolis, south of Cairo.
It was built during the reign of Amenemhat II in the Middle Kingdom.
It represents a significant stage in Egyptian pyramid construction techniques.
The archaeological site is part of the Giza Governorate area.
While named 'White Pyramid', its limestone casing has not survived.
