Pyramid of Senusret III, Ancient royal pyramid in Dahshur, Egypt.

The limestone and mudbrick pyramid measures 105 meters at its base and originally stood 78 meters high in the northern section of Dahshur.

Built during the 19th century BCE for Pharaoh Senusret III of the 12th Dynasty, this pyramid marked changes in Egyptian architectural practices.

The complex includes seven tombs of queens and princesses, revealing details about royal burial practices during the Middle Kingdom period.

The pyramid entrance lies on the western side, leading through a descending corridor to an antechamber connected to a granite-lined burial chamber.

French archaeologist Jacques de Morgan discovered precious artifacts in 1894, including royal jewelry from the tombs of princesses Sithathor and Mereret.
