Pyramid of Userkaf, Ancient Egyptian royal tomb in Saqqara, Egypt.
The limestone pyramid reaches 49 meters in height with a base of 73.3 meters on each side, featuring underground chambers and corridors.
Built around 2490 BC for Pharaoh Userkaf, the founder of the Fifth Dynasty, this pyramid marked a shift in Egyptian architectural preferences.
The mortuary temple contained numerous relief carvings depicting natural scenes and royal activities, reflecting the religious practices of ancient Egypt.
Visitors can access the pyramid complex through the northern entrance, which leads to a network of underground passages and chambers.
The offering chapel stands separate from the mortuary temple, making it the only pyramid complex in Egypt with this architectural arrangement.
