Imhotep Museum, Archaeological museum in Saqqara, Egypt.
The Imhotep Museum contains 250 exhibits across six halls arranged around a central corridor, displaying artifacts from ancient Egyptian architectural development.
The museum opened in 2006 by Suzanne Mubarak and Bernadette Chirac, commemorating Imhotep, who constructed the first stone structure, the Step Pyramid of Djoser.
The exhibition halls present vessels, statues, stelae, ancient tools, architectural elements from the Step Pyramid complex, and burial objects from the 6th Dynasty.
The museum operates daily from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM and includes climate-controlled storage facilities to protect artifacts from environmental damage.
A gallery dedicated to Jean-Philippe Lauer displays his personal items and photographs documenting his 75 years of work at the Djoser complex.
