TT81, Noble tomb in Sheikh Abd el-Qurna, Egypt
The rock-cut tomb TT81 contains a gallery with six square pillars leading to a chamber that houses four monumental seated statues.
The tomb belonged to Ineni, a high-ranking official who served under four pharaohs during the 18th Dynasty between 1479-1425 BCE.
The walls feature painted scenes of hunting activities, agricultural work, and offering ceremonies that represent daily life in ancient Egypt.
The burial site stands on the western bank of the Nile River, opposite to Luxor, within the larger Theban Necropolis archaeological area.
The tomb displays writings about Hatshepsut's regency period and contains a detailed biographical inscription of Ineni's career achievements.
