Jabal al Tumayah

Mount Al-Tahkim stands as a prominent elevation near Adruh, offering clear views of Ma'an, Wadi Musa, and Al-Shoubak regions from its summit at 30.34 degrees latitude.

The mountain gained its name in 657 CE when it served as the meeting point for arbitration between representatives of Ali ibn Abi Talib and Muawiya following the Battle of Siffin.

The area contains multiple water springs, including Ain Al-Tumaiya, Ain Adruh, and Ain Al-Jarba, which supported settlements throughout different historical periods.

Located 22 kilometers north of Ma'an city, the mountain features an ancient fortress at its peak and remains accessible through established routes from nearby urban centers.

The mountain's strategic position made it a Roman military center in 106 CE, with fortifications that transformed the surrounding Adruh region into a significant military outpost.
