Tarumiyama Kofun

Description

Tarumiyama Kofun is a large burial complex with a distinctive keyhole shape, consisting of a square lower section and a round upper portion. The entire mound was originally covered with stones and is now surrounded by a small park with pathways that allow visitors to grasp the form of this monument.

This burial site was constructed in the middle of the 6th century, when Japan's Kofun period was at its height. It stands as evidence that such elaborate structures were built over multiple generations.
