Kisarazu Ferris Wheel Park Kisarapia, Amusement park in Kisarazu, Japan
Kisarazu Ferris Wheel Park Kisarapia is an amusement park in Kisarazu, Chiba Prefecture, built around a large Ferris wheel and divided into eight themed zones. The zones contain rides and activities for different age groups, from young children to adults.
The park opened in July 2016 as one of the first large entertainment projects in this coastal part of Chiba Prefecture. Its arrival changed what the city of Kisarazu had to offer for leisure.
The gondolas of the Ferris wheel are fitted with touch screens that show information about nearby points of interest as you ride. This makes the wheel something more than just a ride, turning it into a way to learn about the area around Tokyo Bay.
The park sits near the waterfront and is easy to reach on foot or by bus, with stops close to the entrance. Half a day is enough to visit most areas, though families with children may want to allow more time.
The Tomorrow Coaster runs on a standard roller coaster track but can be experienced as two different rides depending on whether you use the virtual reality headset or not. Many visitors only discover this option once they are already on the ride.
