Shizuoka City Serizawa Keisuke Art Museum

The museum exhibits over 5,800 works, including stencil-dyeing textiles, paintings, and personal collections created by master craftsman Keisuke Serizawa.

The museum opened in 1981 after Keisuke Serizawa, born in Shizuoka in 1895, donated his extensive collection of artworks to his hometown.

The museum displays traditional Japanese katazome stencil-dyeing techniques through various items such as kimonos, folding screens, and bound books.

Located near Shizuoka JR station, the museum opens Tuesday through Sunday from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with admission fees of 420 yen for adults.

The museum incorporates Serizawa's original house from Miyagi Prefecture, relocated to the grounds along with its garden trees.
