Battle of Otlukbeli Martyrs' Monument

The memorial structure stands near Lake Otlukbeli and displays reliefs of commanders Mehmed II and Uzun Hasan on its surface spanning 1000 square meters.

The monument commemorates the Battle of Otlukbeli of 1473, where Ottoman forces under Sultan Mehmed II defeated the Aq Qoyunlu army led by Uzun Hasan.

The memorial represents the shared heritage between two Muslim Turkic states, honoring fallen soldiers from both the Ottoman Empire and Aq Qoyunlu forces.

Visitors can reach the monument by traveling 4 kilometers north of Otlukbeli village, near Küçükotlukbeli, where parking facilities are available.

The monument marks the location of an eight-hour battle where Ottoman forces utilized firearms and cannons, technologies their opponents did not possess.
