Tara, Former residence in St Anns Hill, Chertsey, United Kingdom
Tara is a single-story house in Chertsey designed with five distinctive pyramid-shaped roof sections. The residence contains four bedrooms, French windows, a master suite with bathroom, and a central sunken lounge beneath the main roof pyramid.
The house was built in 1968 by film director Peter Collison and later acquired by The Who's drummer Keith Moon in the early 1970s. Moon's ownership was brief, as he sold the property to another musician several years later.
The residence served as the location for The Who's Next album launch party in July 1971, complete with an extensive fireworks display.
The property sits on St Anns Hill and is accessible from Chertsey town. The location provides easy access to local facilities and the surrounding community.
During his years of ownership, Moon drove one of his automobiles into the garden pond, an unusual incident reflecting the famous musician's eccentric nature. This episode became part of the wild history that connected this house to rock and roll lore.
