Shiramizu Falls

Shiramizu Falls is a waterfall in the mountains of Gifu Prefecture where water drops steeply down a rock face. The cascade flows across a width of about 8 meters as it descends from the cliffs above.

The waterfall sits near Shirakawa-go village, which became a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1995 along with the Gokayama region. This recognition highlighted the historical importance of the entire mountain area.
