Visitors need to complete a 3-kilometer round trip hike to reach the waterfall, and registered guides from ICMBio are available for guided tours.
The waterfall forms part of the UNESCO World Geopark Caminhos dos Cânions do Sul, featuring sequences of volcanic spills visible in the surrounding cliffs.
