Magnolia Dallas Downtown
Magnolia Dallas Downtown is a hotel housed in a historic Beaux-Arts building with 29 stories located in the heart of the city. The structure blends classical architecture from the 1920s with modern comfort, offering rooms, suites, a restaurant, and event spaces.
The building was constructed in 1922 and was the first in Dallas to have air conditioning, remaining the city's tallest structure for many years. After changing hands multiple times, it was converted into a luxury hotel in the late 1990s and the iconic Pegasus figure was restored in 2000.
The hotel takes its name from the Magnolia Petroleum Company, which originally built this as its headquarters. The striking red Pegasus sign on the roof has become a symbol of Dallas itself and shapes how visitors see the city.
The hotel sits centrally downtown with shops, restaurants, and attractions within walking distance. A complimentary Efrog electric shuttle connects the property to nearby districts and makes exploring the city without a car easy.
Each night guests receive fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies delivered to their rooms as a welcoming gesture. This simple yet thoughtful touch creates a warm feeling that often surprises visitors.
