Bombay Borough Dubai, Indian restaurant in Dubai International Financial Centre, United Arab Emirates
Bombay Borough is an Indian restaurant in Gate Village 3, within the Dubai International Financial Centre, spread across two floors. Inside, a large blossom tree, monochrome tiles, and blue velvet seating give the space a distinct look.
The concept was born in India and later expanded to international locations, including Dubai, Colombo, and Bangalore. The move abroad brought regional Indian cooking to audiences far from its origins.
The menu draws on recipes from different parts of India, served as sharing plates in the tradition of eating together. The flavors and ingredients feel rooted in home cooking, even if the presentation has a modern touch.
The restaurant is open every day, from midday into the late evening, with longer hours on Fridays and Saturdays. Booking ahead is a good idea, especially on weekends when the dining room tends to fill up.
Chef Akshay Bhuvaneshwar developed dishes like Galouti Bun Kebab and Pulled Jackfruit Kofta, placing meat and plant-based options on equal footing. The bar also offers cocktails made with Indian ingredients, extending the regional approach beyond the kitchen.
