Toit, Microbrewery and restaurant in Indiranagar, India
Toit is a microbrewery and American restaurant in Indiranagar that occupies three levels connected by a central staircase with metal railings and exposed brick walls. Large windows face the street while brewing tanks stand behind glass partitions near the entrance and kitchen area.
When the brewery opened in 2010, it was among the first places in Bengaluru to serve freshly brewed beer made on the premises. Other similar establishments followed later and shaped the neighborhood nightlife.
Diners often gather on the ground floor where groups share pizzas and burgers around long communal tables while waiters navigate the room with trays of freshly tapped glasses. The upper levels offer slightly quieter spots where smaller parties sit closer to the windows overlooking the neighborhood below.
Guests who want to smoke need to be at least 21 years old and head to the designated areas. Pets are not allowed after 7 PM on Friday and Saturday evenings.
The brewers use basmati rice in one of their recipes and create a lighter flavor than traditional wheat or barley beers. This ingredient gives the brew a regional touch rarely found in American or European breweries.
