Tolovana Beach Wayside

Tolovana Beach Wayside is a recreation area in Cannon Beach with direct beach access through maintained sandy paths and a spacious parking lot. The park includes a children's playground and picnic tables spread throughout the grounds.

The land was acquired through purchases from multiple private owners between 1967 and 1969 to create the public recreation site. These land acquisitions transformed the area into the accessible beach park it is today.

The site maintains strong connections to indigenous heritage and serves as a central location for community gatherings and seasonal celebrations.

The park is open daily from sunrise to sunset with picnic areas and designated spaces for beach activities throughout the grounds. Well-maintained pathways connect the parking area to all main facilities and the beach access points.

The park offers clear views of Haystack Rock, a 72 m (235 ft) natural basalt formation rising from the ocean. This rocky formation serves as habitat for numerous marine species and a nesting site for seabirds.
