The Palm Fountain

The Palm Fountain is a musical water fountain at The Pointe on Palm Jumeirah, shooting water up to 105 meters high while illuminated by thousands of LED lights. The structure is fitted with sophisticated water jets that create choreographed movement patterns synchronized to music.

The fountain was designed by Beijing Water Design Technology Company and opened its doors in October 2020, making it the largest seawater musical fountain of its kind. Its debut marked a turning point in entertainment infrastructure development at this newly developed waterfront location.

The fountain presents compositions by Emirati composer Ihab Darwish, whose works bring local musical traditions to life through modern stagecraft. The performances blend orchestral music with visual effects, creating a space where sound and motion converge.

The shows run multiple times daily and are visible from various positions around The Pointe, especially well from the restaurants and cafes along the promenade. It is recommended to arrive early to secure a good viewing spot, as popular areas fill quickly during peak times.

The fountain uses seawater from the surrounding bay for its water effects, meaning each performance is connected to a natural element of the waterfront. This integration of seawater makes every show a unique experience directly interwoven with the coastal setting.
