Grosvenor House, Luxury high-rise building in Dubai Marina, United Arab Emirates
Grosvenor House is a twin-tower complex in Dubai Marina, United Arab Emirates, with each tower rising 48 floors above ground. The two buildings together contain hotel rooms, residential apartments, and a number of restaurants and bars spread across their floors.
Construction of the first tower began in March 2003, and the building opened in June 2005 as the first hotel in Dubai Marina. At that time, the surrounding district was still largely under construction, so the complex stood among the earliest completed projects in the area.
The name references the famous Grosvenor House in London, reflecting Dubai's habit of borrowing names from well-known international addresses. Walking through the lobby, you notice a mix of hotel guests, residents, and diners from many different countries sharing the same space.
The complex sits in Dubai Marina and is easy to reach by metro, with a nearby station on the Dubai Metro red line. The hotel entrance and the residential entrances are separate, so it helps to know which one you need before you arrive.
The building was designed by Archgroup Consultants, a firm based in the United Arab Emirates that has worked on several other projects across the region. Although the two towers look like a matching pair, they were completed in two separate construction phases.
