Established in 1983 by entrepreneurs Fred and Ethel Noyes, the museum originated from their private gallery in 1973 and expanded through a partnership with Stockton University in 2010.
The museum maintains four rotating galleries featuring seasonal exhibitions of contemporary and historical artworks while supporting regional artists through dedicated exhibition spaces.
Visitors can explore the museum's collection at the Arts Garage in Atlantic City, Kramer Hall in Hammonton, and additional satellite locations throughout southern New Jersey.
The collection includes 3,500 pieces, with an emphasis on Fred Noyes's bird decoy assemblage and artworks depicting southern New Jersey's natural landscapes.
