Baghdad Island Park extends across 1.25 million square meters in the middle of the Tigris River, featuring gardens, amusement rides, and restaurants.
The Finnish company YII constructed Baghdad Island Park in 1983, following four years of planning and development initiated in 1979.
The park includes a 63-meter observation tower with panoramic views, entertainment venues, and spaces for theatrical performances along the riverbank.
Entry costs 500 Iraqi dinars per person, and the park accommodates up to 2,000 visitors with 41 different rides and multiple dining options.
The island contains Baghdad's largest water park, Amwaj Baghdad, and features a 1,000-meter corniche with boat docks along the Tigris River.
