Baghdad Tourist Island

Baghdad Tourist Island is a large recreation area situated in the middle of the Tigris River, offering gardens, rides, and dining venues. The site includes an observation tower, a major water park section, and an extended riverside promenade with seating and food options.

The park was developed and built by a Finnish company in the 1980s after years of planning by city officials. The project represented an effort to create a modern recreation space along the Tigris for the city's residents.
