Main Operating Base Price, Military installation in Helmand Province, Afghanistan.

Main Operating Base Price was an ISAF base in Nahri Saraj District, Helmand Province, southern Afghanistan. It began operating in 2006 as a forward operating base and was expanded in November 2012 by 21 Engineer Regiment. It was closed in March 2014.

The base was established in 2006 and served as headquarters for British forces and the Danish Battle Group during Operation Herrick. It closed in March 2014, ending eight years of operations in the region.

During Operation Herrick XVII, 40 Commando Royal Marines held the base and it was nicknamed HMS Price, a nod to the Royal Navy. Embedded Training Teams, including a Police Mentor Team from the South Carolina and New York National Guards, worked with Afghan forces from the base in 2007 and 2008.

The base lay in Nahri Saraj District, Helmand Province, and was handed over to Afghan National Security Forces in July 2014 before closing in March 2014. It is a former military site, not a visitor attraction, so there are no facilities, guides or marked routes on site. Access depends on local conditions in the district.

The nickname "HMS Price" was used during Operation Herrick XVII, when 40 Commando (Royal Marines) was stationed at the base between October 2012 and April 2013. The same rotation also brought The Royal Scots Borderers and 4th Regiment Royal Artillery to the site.
