Dibër County

Dibër County is an administrative region in northeastern Albania comprising four municipalities spread across mountainous terrain. Peshkopi serves as the administrative center and main town of this region.

The region became an official administrative division in 2000 following multiple reorganizations since Albania gained independence from Ottoman rule in 1912. The transition to the modern administrative structure shaped the current organization of this mountain landscape.
