Palacio Vergara is a large residential palace in Viña del Mar built with Gothic-Venetian design features including pointed arches, ornate railings, and decorative details across its exterior. After the 1906 earthquake, Blanca Vergara de Errázuriz had an Italian architect design this palace, which was finished in 1910. The project represented the family's effort to rebuild and create a statement of wealth and status in the recovering city.
