Church of Our Lady of the Rosary of Saint Antony of the Black People

The Church of Our Lady of the Rosary of Saint Antony of the Black People is a colonial church building in the Santo Antonio district, distinguished by its symmetrical facade, dual bell towers, and carved stonework framing the entrance. The interior showcases neoclassical altars and expansive painted murals that cover the walls from floor to ceiling.

Construction began in 1685 and the church was completed in 1710, serving as a gathering place for enslaved Africans and their descendants. Extensive renovations in the 19th century reshaped the artistic character of the building.
