Artscape Theatre Centre

Artscape Theatre Centre is a performing arts complex with multiple theaters of different sizes in Foreshore. The venues range from a large hall with around 1,487 seats to a mid-sized theater and a smaller arena space for more intimate performances.

The venue opened in 1971 and was originally named after an administrator who championed the project. This founding moment marked an important step for the arts in the city.

This venue serves as the main stage for classical performances and ballet in the region, where local and visiting artists take the spotlight. Visitors experience operas, dance productions, and concerts that shape the cultural life of the area.
