Central Sumba Regency

Central Sumba Regency spans 1,845 square kilometers across six districts, with Waibakul serving as its administrative center at 439 meters above sea level.

The regency emerged from the division of West Sumba Regency on January 2, 2007, establishing new administrative boundaries in the East Nusa Tenggara province.

Local communities maintain traditional Sumbanese ceremonies and festivals throughout the districts of Katikutana, Mamboro, and Umbu Ratu Nggay regions.
