Bogor Timur

Bogor Timur is an administrative district in Bogor City comprising six neighborhoods: Sukasari, Baranangsiang, Katulampa, Sindangsari, Sindangrasa, and Tajur. The area sits at 282 meters elevation and features a mix of residential zones with both urban and rural characteristics.

The district was created by Government Regulation Number 5 in 1995, which incorporated several villages from Bogor Regency into the city. This change marked the transition from rural to urban-focused organization.

Multiple ethnic communities—Sundanese, Javanese, and Betawi people—share the neighborhoods and maintain their traditions through weekly markets and local gatherings. This mix shapes daily life and gives the district its diverse character.

The area is served by the Trans Pakuan bus system, which connects local terminals and allows travel throughout the district and toward downtown. Using public buses is the main way to navigate between neighborhoods.

The Katulampa Water Gate in this district functions as a key flood control facility that monitors water levels during Indonesia's wet seasons. This system regularly protects the area from flooding.
