Al-Ittihad Mosque Jatibarang

Al-Ittihad Mosque is a house of prayer in Jatibarang Lor featuring two 40-meter minarets and a central dome surrounded by eight smaller domes arranged across the main prayer hall. The site includes separate ablution areas, a library, administrative offices, and a spacious courtyard that functions as both a garden and parking area.

Construction began in 2001 and finished in 2008, replacing an earlier building that stood south of Jatibarang market. The project received backing from prominent local leaders in the region.

The mosque serves as a center for Islamic learning and prayer in the Jatibarang area, where local residents gather regularly to observe their faith and participate in religious teachings. The space brings together people from surrounding villages who come to pray, study, and strengthen their community bonds.

The site is well signposted and has parking available on the grounds, along with dedicated ablution areas for ritual washing. Visitors should wear modest clothing and check prayer times before coming, as the space is primarily for active worship.

The building project faced unexpected financial challenges as material costs rose sharply throughout the seven-year construction period. The initial budget had to be substantially revised upward to account for these rising expenses.
