Posong is a nature tourism site at the foot of Mount Sindoro in Tlahab, Kledung, Temanggung, at about 1,400 metres above sea level. From its high ground visitors watch the sunrise and look out over eight mountains at once: Andong, Sindoro, Sumbing, Merbabu, Ungaran, Muria, Merapi and Telomoyo. The surrounding slopes are farmed in contoured rows of leafy crops, with a small dark-roofed wooden shed at the field's upper edge.

Posong was opened as a nature tourism site in 2009 by Zuniyanto, an environmental activist from the Djogoreso community of Tlahab village, Kledung district, Temanggung. Its name recalls a ruse attributed to Prince Diponegoro during the colonial period: a "pos kosong", an empty post, set to draw the Dutch into attacking a position that was in fact unmanned.
